Wedding Project #2 - Morning Highlights

Hello everybody! I know this is way overdue, been so anxiously asking for photos from my photographer, Kent Wong. Yet, hehe. Here I goes, haven’t shared these with anyone yet – will be uploading more photos into facebook after this entry!

The dress that every girl dreamed once in a life-time, went to Venus to select my AD gowns one month before our wedding. Tried almost all their gowns but nothing close to my dreamed gown! With no much choices, I selected 3 best gowns among all. I got so depressed thereafter.

Just one week before the big day, I decided to hunt for my dreamed wedding gown in Singapore instead. First stop at la belle couture, and I saw an exact piece that I adore! *Happy girl*

The above piece is from Venus, and the below one is my gown hunt in Singapore.
Decided to wear both instead for morning and night. Which is better?
Personally i like the below one, big ball gown with long train..
Simple design that I adore much!

My lovely wedding shoes from Pedro.

My hair and makeup started at 8am that morning, and all bridemaids came over early to prepare too! Kudos to mummy for cooking noodles for me and my bridemaids in the morning. :)
Even though I only had 4-5 hours of sleep, I know I will be in the safe hands with my makeup artist, Vivi Wong – who made me look the best I ever looked. But please pardon my 包猪婆 hair.
Gatecrash time, see how my bridemaids torture the guys !

The chinese's gatecrash will never miss out the 酸甜辣 food to torture the guys!
酸: It may not look as sour as it is, but sour plum with citric acid is real powerful ok?!

甜: This diaper shit dunno made of what.. look really eeeew!!

苦: The super bitter and raw coffee powder my mummy bought from wet market!
Each cup still have coffee bits! Look at my dear's expression..
辣: Hubz hate to eat fish ball, want to make giant fish ball.. But i guess the making of fishball shape failed, isn't it? haha!
The traditions as followed after fetch the bride. Was holding back my tears so hard, because daddy doesn’t like us to cry on a happy occasion! Folks sending me off and really like the below pictures so much:
Back to the groom’s place, and changed into my made-to-measure cheongsam. Designed my own cheongsam for tea ceremony, thanks to Iris and Edel at Lucky Chinatown for this lovely piece. I love it much!

Nice candid, both in-laws drank the 媳妇茶 with muchness happiness!
And this is my new family now.. ^^
They guys MADE IT back home!
Worth a cheers~
Returning home for another round of tea serving to my side of family..
Didn’t have enough time to head out for photo taking session with my bestmen and bridemaids but glad that I have managed to get some portraits done with my lovely bridemaids, where the guys are at the backyard having late lunch!

It was an extremely long, warm and tiring morning!
But also a magical moment beyond words.
To know how our folks really loved us till the day we are married and having a family of our own.

Thanks daddy and mummy for the priceless dowry and of cos to my parents-in-law for the generous gifts as well!
Almost 5 years in relationship with hubz, and finally two became one.
Marriage life has been too good for me, and I hope our love will be as pure as the day we tied the knot! Loves!

My Proposal - 09.03.13

My heart skipped a beat!

This post really came ultra late! Super back-dated entry, proposal took place in early last year - March! =X

Haven’t been sharing my proposal story, only close friend knew.. It was few weeks before “that day” when Pauline text us in our group chat saying she won 4 tickets to S.E.A Aquarium at her company DND. She invited us to go! And was still fixing a date to go.. best actresses because the girls giving a lot of dates for option, and Elsa was still saying she got show to run, can’t make it and changed to the later weekend. “____”

There’s theme dressing to adhere to, cos Pauline wanted a bright colour dress code on our once in a blue moon day-out. I should have guessed it when I was still telling Elsa I don’t know what to wear, maybe just wear shorts instead! She was so concerned and called me immediately asking me not wear shorts! Well, I’m not so smart though indeed!

When arrived at the Aquarium, Pauline took out her company pass for free gantry.. and say that there is a tour guide with free introductory to the Aquarium. How awesome!? And I buy it because she showed her company pass, and she said that her company got privilege to Sentosa! Anyways, here we go, roaming the SEA~

In fact, I’m expecting my proposal coming anytime! Because our wedding date has been set by a Geomancer last year, been secretly planning my wedding because stupid hubz haven’t proposed to me even after we confirmed our wedding venue and all. What’s the point to propose right, since we already confirmed the wedding?! Ughh.. okay, just ranting.

Oh well, I thought my proposal would be twilight related! Cos, my ideal proposal was under a pavilion filled with led lightings and my man on one knee.. Need not be any big hooo-ha, but just like this picture:
How romantic? Oh.. I’m going gaga over Edward again!

Okay, back to the proposal! No pavilion with lightings as I expected but at the Ocean Dome instead! The tour guide and Elsa started to ask me to spot something at the top while I’m walking in.. and there it goes..

The music started to play and my lovely friends forming in a circle started to march out towards me.. holding ipads with our photos’ slideshow! Everyone wore mask and started to sing les-miserable song, “One day more”! It’s pretty hard to sing especially when the girls and boys need to coordinate well enough.

Soon after, the main lead came out with 99 roses bouquet and started to sing!

What a pleasant performance there! ^^
Awww… it happened too quick and it’s so over-whelming, and I started to tears. When hubz on one knee, he started to say so many things.

That moment, I knew I couldn’t let him off so easily because that proposal came so late and that I have been hearing other people commenting that “huh, he haven’t proposed and you both planning for wedding?”!

When I cover half of my face wiping off my tears, started to step back a little, and started to shake my head a little.. hubz’s heart almost quash!! He started to say “I’m sorry, I know this proposal is tad late blah blah blah….” That moment, I was like gotcha!! Hahaa.. he knee down for the longest time before I say yes! *laughs~

He knows I love musical! And so making the effort to learn a musical song!
Yesh.. that’s the story of my proposal! Short and simple and sweet!

Thanks to all who witness this and helped hubz for the preparation! And taking the effort to learn the song! I know some of them still wrote the lyrics on their palm! *laughs~

The only regrets we had was not all family members are there to witness this, because hubz ever asked me if my proposal wanted a lot of people kind and I did briefly mentioned that doesn’t want his parents and my dad to be around, cos I will feel the stress! But ever since then, I thought sharing every joys with everyone in both family are essential to me now. The bond between is heart-warming!

Promise to remember that family always come first from now onwards!
