Wedding Project #1 - The Planning & Sourcing

We are married for more than 3 months now~!

Haven’t share much details nor photos in all my social network. Couple of friends been asking me for more pictures! =X

Will be sharing my wedding project in my blog, those who are keen… stay tuned!

Those who know, shamus and I balloted a place at choa chu kang area in 2011. Ever since then, we have been discussing about our future plans. I always thought that when man got excited about the future with the woman, he is sincere and it is the most romantic topic we could be in.

And there we goes, informed both parents on our wedding plans and went to a geomancer, gotten a date! The initial planning are not easy, with many unsure information from both parents, made us don’t know where to start.

Started to visit numerous of hotels and confirmed Mandarin Orchard. Some of our friends and relatives asked why we decided Mandarin Orchard when there are many other posher and big hotels available. Well, sourcing of venue was the very last thing we started with because of the uncertain numbers of tables we have. Despite our wedding dates falls on a Thursday, surprisingly a lot of grand hotels like Shangri-La which are booked and us being on the 3rd waiting list for Ritz-Carlton. Only got to know from the Ritz’s banquet manager that our wedding date are falls on 八月初八 which are an auspicious date for the Chinese. Hotels that can hold more than 50 tables are not many, and among those, being having high ceiling have reduced more than half of the available hotels.

Finding bridal shop are the most exciting part for me. ^^

It’s the very first time trying out on gowns!! I wanted a carousel shoot, and Singapore doesn’t have the fairy-tale carousel that I adore. So we planned to travel somewhere for the photoshoot instead, out of friend’s recommendation for Venus at JB, we went down to take a look. Their studio on the second level are amazing, perhaps it’s our first time. The pricing are duper reasonable, and with hasty decision we went ahead with Venus on our first visit to a bridal shop.

Here are some favourite pre-wedding shoot:
